Abstract

Language awareness (LA) is a critical component in teacher education, equipping pre-service English teachers with the knowledge and skills necessary for effective language instruction. This article explores strategies for fostering language awareness in the Pre-SETT curriculum, emphasizing grammatical, lexical, discourse, and pragmatic dimensions. It presents practical techniques such as noticing tasks, guided discovery, error analysis, reflective journals, micro-teaching, and integrative project-based activities.
