Abstract

The ACR Derivation and Generation Tool is an Excel-based framework developed to support environmental risk assessment by addressing gaps in chronic toxicity data for surfactants. The tool enables robust derivation of Acute-to-Chronic Ratios (ACRs) using both curated and user-supplied datasets, with flexible options for data inclusion, exclusion, and filtering. Derived ACR values can be applied to predict chronic toxicity for chemicals where only acute data are available. When measured chronic data exist, the tool allows direct validation of ACR-based predictions, supporting transparent evaluation of prediction performance. All data handling, calculations, predictions, and validations are performed within a user-friendly Excel interface, promoting reproducibility and practical implementation in regulatory and environmental safety workflows.
