Abstract

Data will be collected to develop a minimally invasive optical spectroscopic system for assessing microcirculation at the sublingual and gastric mucosal levels in septic shock patients. The dataset will help determine how optical spectral signals reflect key microcirculatory parameters—such as tissue oxygenation, perfusion index, and heterogeneity—and how these parameters change during fluid resuscitation and vasopressor therapy. The collected data will support calibration of the device, evaluation of its clinical performance in the ICU, and improvement of algorithms and hardware needed to advance the prototype toward clinical use.The dataset will be useful for researchers in critical care medicine, biomedical engineering, optical diagnostics, etc. as well as medical students.
