Abstract

The LucidLock Reasoning Structure Check is a structural authorship gate that evaluates whether a scientific or technical document progresses argumentatively, or if it merely presents reference-style declarations. This validator does not assess factual accuracy, methodology, or citation truth, it focuses solely on how the ideas are connected. Documents are classified into three possible structural modes: ✅ PASS - Argumentative logic with coherent reasoning structure. ❌ FAIL - Argumentative document with broken logic flow. 🗂️ EXPECTED NON-ARGUMENTATIVE - Reference materials such as specifications, protocols, summaries. The system is designed for automated use in AI-assisted academic integrity tools, submission portals, and internal review engines, allowing institutions, publishers, and researchers to flag incoherent manuscripts early without requiring full manual review. Reports are auto-generated and emailed to reviewers. Each contains: A summary classification Structural signal analysis Interpretive rationale Suitable and unsuitable use cases The invention operates without human-in-the-loop dependency, enabling scalable forensic review of large scientific corpora or individual submissions.
