Risk Management in Modern Hedge Funds: A Comparative Analysis of Quantitative and Computational Architectures
Abstract
This research establishes a formal topological framework for managing non-stationary market assets by synthesizing high-dimensional chaotic dynamics with industrial quality control and cryptographic verification. The proposed Hala-Taguchi-ZK framework addresses the “Newtonian Trap” of market unpredictability by treating volatility as a kinetic resource to be harvested rather than a risk to be avoided. At the core of this system is the Hala Operator, a state-dependent regulator defined by the nonlinear feedback term −γ(x2 + y2)z, which induces a process known as Successive Controlled Collapse (SCC). This mechanism maps continuous chaotic flows—representing market momentum (x), sentiment (y), and capital state (z)—onto discrete, stable fixed-point constellations. To ensure operational resilience, the framework utilizes Taguchi Design of Experiments for off-market robustness testing and a Mamdani-style Fuzzy Inference System to dynamically adjust feedback intensity based on market “Chaoticity,” “Perishability,” and “Sentiment Tension.” Security and privacy are integrated through a Self-Encrypting Operator and Zero-Knowledge SNARKs, which provide a mathematically rigorous and trustless audit trail for portfolio execution while maintaining algorithmic integrity.
