Dimensional Compatibility Unification (DCU): A Structural Framework Unifying Quantum Mechanics, Gravity, and Cosmology
Abstract
This paper introduces Dimensional Compatibility Unification (DCU), a structural framework addressing the long-standing problem of unifying quantum mechanics, gravity, and cosmology. Rather than proposing new forces, particles, or speculative dynamics, DCU identifies a common structural principle underlying the domains where existing physical theories succeed and where they systematically break down. The central claim of this work is that apparent incompatibilities between quantum mechanics, general relativity, and cosmology arise from dimensional projection effects and compatibility loss at transition boundaries (Sandhi). By formulating unification as a constraint on dimensional compatibility rather than a force-level merger, the framework explains quantum indeterminism, spacetime singularities, and cosmological inconsistencies within a single coherent structure. This manuscript consolidates and synthesizes the author’s prior research into a unified theoretical scaffold, demonstrating how general relativity and quantum field theory emerge as complementary limiting regimes of the same compatibility condition. The framework is intentionally structural and predictive in scope, leaving realization-specific parameters to be determined by future empirical validation. DCU is presented as a foundational contribution to theoretical physics, providing a unifying perspective that clarifies why previous unification attempts stalled and offering a principled pathway for future theory development and experimental exploration.
