EARTH SCIENCE AND UNIVERSE: FROM PLANET EARTH TO THE STRUCTURE OF THE OBSERVABLE COSMOS
Abstract
his book presents a comprehensive and evidence-based examination of Earth as a dynamic planetary system situated within the broader structure of the observable universe. The work traces the origin, internal structure, surface processes, and long-term evolution of Earth using established principles of physics, chemistry, geology, climatology, and Earth System Science. Earth is analysed as an integrated system governed by gravitational dynamics, thermodynamics, material differentiation, and energy transfer across geological timescales. Topics include planetary formation, internal heat generation, mantle convection, plate tectonics, rock cycles, earthquakes, volcanism, atmospheric evolution, and climate regulation, all examined strictly within physical and chemical boundaries. The book deliberately avoids metaphysical, spiritual, religious, or philosophical explanations. All discussions are confined to observable mechanisms, empirical evidence, and scientifically recognised models. No claims are made regarding purpose, intention, or design in planetary processes. This publication is a scholarly and theoretical work intended solely for academic and educational purposes within Earth Science and planetary science. It does not provide professional, engineering, environmental, predictive, or policy guidance. The book contributes to Earth Science, geology, planetary science, and interdisciplinary natural sciences by offering a clear, system-based framework for understanding Earth’s place within the universe.
