Abstract

MetaTime asserts that the “hard problem of consciousness” and the “dark-energy coincidence problem” are two scale-separated faces of a single question: under what physical conditions does structured possibility become executed actuality? In the MetaTime Einstein-frame Kaluza-Klein EFT (v35.6) and numerical suite (v35.9), the dark sector is represented as Latency ($\rho_L$)—degrees of freedom available in the full description yet not committed to the brane-level executed history—and Execution ($\rho_E$)—the effective energetic overhead associated with sustaining committed, record-bearing brane histories. Their exchange is modeled by an interaction term of the form $Q = 3H \cdot \rho_L \cdot [\beta_0 + \beta_1 \cdot \Pi(a)]$. This paper provides the ontological foundation with strict non-teleological language. We introduce the Tether Hypothesis: "nodes" are not identified with biological consciousness per se, but with any irreversible record-generating subsystems (proto-nodes include gravitational structure formation). Finally, the Fermi Paradox is reframed as an information-theoretic bottleneck: electromagnetic energy couples universally, but the effective cross-section for structured information is negligible without shared protocols.
