POLITICAL SCIENCE IN THE MODERN WORLD: HOW POWER SHAPES HUMAN LIFE AND SOCIAL ORDER IN THE MODERN WORLD
Abstract
This book presents a rigorous and structural analysis of power as the central organising force of human social systems within the discipline of Political Science. Rather than focusing on political ideology, electoral competition, or normative theory, the work examines how power operates as a continuous and embedded condition of organised human life in the modern world. Power is analysed as a structural mechanism that regulates behaviour, maintains social order, and stabilises complex societies through law, institutions, economy, security systems, information environments, identity structures, and psychological compliance. The book adopts an applied Political Science approach, examining how authority is legitimised, internalised, and maintained without constant coercion. Psychological perspectives are employed to explain obedience, fear, compliance, and internalisation of authority, while legal analysis is used to examine the formalisation and routinisation of power through legal systems. Institutions and bureaucracy are analysed as stabilising architectures that convert power into routine governance. The modern world is treated as the analytical context of this study, characterised by scale, interdependence, technological mediation, and increasing structural complexity. Power is shown to operate primarily through procedures, incentives, dependency, and cognitive regulation rather than overt force. This publication is a scholarly and theoretical work intended strictly for academic and educational purposes. It does not promote political ideology, advocacy, policy prescription, or professional guidance. The book contributes to Political Science, governance studies, political psychology, and interdisciplinary social sciences by offering a coherent structural framework for understanding how power shapes human life and social order in the modern world.
