Abstract

This protocol outlines a systematic review designed to map the existing evidence and identify critical knowledge gaps on cervical cancer in Iraq. It will comprehensively search for English-language studies published between 2015 and 2025 to synthesize data on disease burden, screening practices, and associated knowledge, attitudes, and barriers among the Iraqi population. Following a structured PICOS framework, eligible studies will undergo quality assessment, with findings synthesized narratively. The final output will provide a foundational evidence gap analysis to directly inform the design of subsequent primary research and policy initiatives aimed at establishing a national screening program.
