Abstract

Selecting the appropriate methodology to facilitate the decision-making process regarding the choice of Electric Vehicles (EVs) is of paramount importance. Given the quality, variety, and intricacy of the current luxury sedan EV models, assessing their benefits and drawbacks in relation to individual needs and requirements is a complex endeavor. Presently, factors such as the price of the EV, battery warranty, charging speed, acceleration to 100 km/h, top speed, engine power, battery efficiency, usability, and mileage can be employed to evaluate the available luxury sedan EV models. In this regard, the decision-making process can be enhanced through the use of Multicriteria Decision Making (MCDM), a methodology that effectively organizes and assesses intricate problems involving multiple alternatives, conflicting criteria, and complex scenarios. This paper discusses the implementation of the PROMETHEE method, one of the MCDM techniques, for the selection of luxury sedan EVs. The research, which is based on the nine criteria mentioned, involved the analysis and ranking of eight luxury sedan EV models. The findings indicate that the PROMETHEE method can be effectively utilized in the decision-making process for identifying the most suitable luxury sedan EV.
