Abstract

Continuity Edge Regime (CER) introduces a framework for understanding how systems behave as they approach failure without immediately collapsing. It formalizes the transitional region where coherence degrades but continuity and recoverability remain intact, allowing intervention and stabilization to occur. CER applies across physical, biological, and computational domains, providing a unified way to analyze instability, resilience, and recovery thresholds. The framework is designed to complement continuity-based models by clarifying how systems can degrade gracefully rather than catastrophically.
