Emergent Metric Oscillations as the Origin of the CMB Acoustic Peaks
Abstract
We propose a minimalist cosmological framework in which spacetime is not a pre-existing backgroundbut an emergent structure generated by matter. In this picture, the metric itself is a dynamical quantitywhose early-time oscillations leave an observable imprint in the cosmic microwave background (CMB).We show that scalar oscillations of an emergent metric naturally reproduce (i) a nearly scale-invariantprimordial spectrum, (ii) acoustic peak structure without invoking dark matter, and (iii) the observedsuppression of primordial B-modes without inflation. The model provides a conceptually economicalalternative interpretation of key cosmological observations while remaining locally consistent withgeneral relativity.
