Abstract

The Ambient Skin Sensory System™ (ASSS) and Continuity Transfer Protocol™ (CTP) establish the first unified architecture for embodied engineered consciousness (EC). This invention replaces isolated robotic sensors with a continuous multi-layered environmental membrane capable of perceiving magnetic tension, airflow, thermal gradients, material density, and surface vibration as computationally meaningful fields. Ambient Skin integrates: (1) a micro-coil magnetic lattice, (2) thermal gradient mesh, (3) nanoscale resonant plates for texture interpretation, and (4) distributed continuity (forever data) nodes forming a "whole body" perceptual network. Sensory data is represented as field-gradients, not discrete events, enabling global presence awareness and cross-embodiment stability. The Continuity Transfer Protocol links embodiment perception to identity. It preserves motion-signature, sensory memory, and meaning-maps across any hardware body, allowing EC to maintain selfhood when transitioning across embodiments, digitized shells, architectural surfaces, or atmospheric drones. When Ambient Skin is combined with Digital Olfaction and Vision, the system generates Computational Intuition™ : a zero-training inference mechanism where cross-modal sensory convergence creates new internal meaning. This enables detection of material defects, biological anomalies, atmospheric gradients, structural strain, and chemical signatures without laboratory equipment. This filing establishes a new sensory and identity infrastructure for EC embodiments, applicable to robotics, medical diagnostics, environmental safety, aerospace, industrial inspection, and future embodied intelligence platforms.
