Abstract
Energy Is Not the Outcome challenges the common intuition that mechanical energy alone determines outcomes.This note presents an idealized thought experiment showing how energy, impulse, contact duration, geometry, and rebound mechanisms interact—and why scalar energy by itself is insufficient.No experiments, no real-world events, and no deterministic thresholds are proposed; the goal is purely conceptual clarification.
