Abstract

This document provides a descriptive boundary analysis of autopoietic theory as developed by Maturana and Varela. It identifies a structural gap concerning regulatory cost, saturation, and cumulative depletion under continuous load, without revising, extending, or operationalising autopoiesis. The work is explicitly non-causal, non-predictive, and non-interventional.
