The Quantum Ontology of Light: A Critical Review
Abstract
In this review, we critically examine the wave–particle duality of light, tracing its conceptual evolution from classical optics to modern quantum theory. We analyze experimental and theoretical frameworks, including photon theory, interference phenomena, and foundational questions in quantum mechanics. The review also explores the implications of quantum ontology for current research in theoretical physics, highlighting unresolved issues and future directions for study.
