The Memory Universe, Part II: Record Ordering Without Time — Structural Asymmetry from Admissible Transformations
Abstract
This is Part II of the Memory Universe framework. Building on the foundational axioms established in Part I (DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.18144912), this paper demonstrates that record-ordering is not a discretionary assumption, but a structural necessity arising from the existence of admissible transformations on physical records. We prove that any nontrivial set of such transformations induces a preorder structure that recovers operational features of time—including directionality and irreversibility—without assuming time as a fundamental primitive.
