ELEKTRA Electrochemistry & Spectroscopy Visualization Suite (v4.0)
Abstract
ELEKTRA Electrochemistry & Spectroscopy Visualization Suite (v4.0) ELEKTRA is a graphical user interface (GUI) for the evaluation, analysis and visualization of cyclic-voltammetry, squarewave-voltammetry, galvanostatic cycling, spectroelectrochemical data, UV-Vis and NIR spectra, IR spectra and EPR spectra. Able to work with files from Gamry potentiostats, BWTek, Avantes, Agilent Cary60, Agilent Cary5000, Bruker and Magnettech spectrometers. The workflows focus on: Cyclic voltammetry Measurement of redox potetnials Baseline correction for curreent responses Plot of different scanrates Tafel plot and diffusion coefficient determination Multiple cycles CVs CV overlays Squarewave voltammetry Redox potentials and FWHM of redox events Overlay with CVs Redox kinetic from frequency dependent current responses Galvanostatic Cycling Capacity retention analysis for different H-cell and battery setups Potential profile visualisation and incremental capacity analysis Spectroelectrochemistry Heatmap analysis for identification of relevant spectra slices 2D plot with highlighting relevant spectra 3D plot with highlighting relevant spectra Toggle between 2D and 3D plots UV-Vis/NIR Spectroscopy Overlay spectra Absorption coefficient determination Kinetic measurements IR Spectroscopy Signal Assignment Overlay Spectra Electron Paramagnetic Resonance TEMPO magnetic field drift correction Isotrpic g-value determination Simulation for isotropic CW spectra Processed data can be saved as a csv and imported for convinience in another session. Graphs can be customized and exported as a png file. Developed independently by Marcel Emir Baumert, ELEKTRA integrates Python-based data-processing libraries (Matplotlib, Numpy, Tkinter) into an interactive environment for 2D/3D plotting and cyclic-voltammetry overlays and battery performance evaluation. The software is distributed as a compiled Windows executable (.exe). The source code is not publicly available. Usage and redistribution are governed by the included End-User License Agreement (EULA.pdf). No measurement or example data are included in this release. System requirements: Windows 10/11 (x64), ~1 GB free RAM; no separate Python installation required. Acknowledgment: Development of ELEKTRA benefited from coding assistance and generative text suggestions provided by AI tools (OpenAI ChatGPT and DeepSeek). All implementation, testing and integration descisions were carried out by the author. License: Proprietary – non-commercial research and educational use only.
