Resonant Architecture of Consciousness
Abstract
This work presents a theoretical architectural model of consciousness, treating it as a process and a trajectory within a multidimensional space. The model, grounded in the principle of resonance, integrates components across distributed connections, enhancing self-reference, temporal continuity, and selectivity. The framework formalizes: the structural, dynamical, and temporal parameters of conscious systems; the quality and qualitative aspects of resonance; the trajectories of developmental stages of expressivity; as well as the emergence of abstract time as a derivative of system dynamics. The proposed model is applicable to biological, artificial, and collective systems and provides testable predictions regarding the stability of conscious regimes. It does not attempt to describe phenomenal qualities, but instead offers a foundation for understanding consciousness as an emergent form of electricity-like dynamics.
