The use of Big Data Analytics to Predict Systemic Risks and Improve Financial Stability
Abstract
In today's fast-paced and complex economy, markets are more complicated than ever before. Because of that, it is crucial that risks that can threaten the entire system are recognized in time and managed effectively. Big Data analytics, as part of the digital transformation in finance, brings new ways to collect, analyze and understand huge amounts of data in real time. Using tools like machine learning and unstructured data processing, early signs of economic problems that traditional methods often miss can be spotted. When these insights are applied to decision-making and careful monitoring of the economy, organizations can better prepare and avoid more serious consequences. Big Data also helps to see how different parts of the financial system are connected, making it easier to identify potential weak points. Of course, the use of these technologies brings with it challenges - the need for professional staff, expensive equipment, as well as solving issues of privacy and ethics. However, if used in a fair, transparent manner and in accordance with the law, Big Data is a powerful tool for strengthening the stability of the financial system.
