BNP's policy reform agenda (8th) on the Commission and Electoral System in Bangladesh
Abstract
Bangladesh's election system has faced ongoing difficulties, including allegations of electoral fraud, voter suppression, and inadequate transparency. In response to these challenges, the interim administration, headed by Nobel laureate Muhammad Yunus, has commenced extensive reforms to restructure the Election Commission (EC) and the whole election system. This research study evaluates the proposed reforms, assesses their possible effects on the democratic process, and provides recommendations for effective implementation.
