Abstract

The Griffiths Canon [a unified, cross‑architecture systems framework] Defines the foundational methodology, engineering principles, and integration standards that unify all Griffiths‑class interstellar architectures. It establishes how habitats, propulsion systems, EVA logistics platforms, shielding layers, and emerging industrial‑swarm systems interoperate as a coherent engineering ecosystem. This document introduces the core principles of the canon — multifunctional mass, distributed redundancy, predictable behaviour, and interoperability by design — and outlines the shared systems layer that governs telemetry, synthetic cognition, and sectorized redundancy across all architectures. It also provides a high‑level summary of the six existing Griffiths architectures and presents the roadmap for the canon’s industrial expansion, including swarm‑integrated mining systems, ore carriers with in‑transit refining, and resource‑body industrialization frameworks. Designed as the entry point for engineers, researchers, and collaborators, this overview establishes the conceptual and structural foundation for all current and future Griffiths Canon whitepapers. It serves as the authoritative guide to how Griffiths‑class systems are conceived, integrated, and documented. "© Wayne Griffiths — The Griffiths Canon. All rights reserved.
