HIGH STRUCTURAL STRANGENESS: The Architecture of Non-Resolution
Abstract
This paper presents a structural analysis of curiosity-based systems, demonstrating how optimization for sustained engagement produces predictable non-resolution architectures. Focusing on publicly observable patterns rather than economic, psychological, or policy frameworks, it distinguishes between systems that align with curiosity’s evolved function of uncertainty reduction and those that require its arrest for continuation. The analysis situates these dynamics within the broader Kruse Continuum research program, which examines information residue, structural persistence, and complexity scaling across physical and cognitive domains. This work was produced in conjunction with a collaborative thought engine, incorporating iterative contributions from Gemini, ChatGPT, and Claude.
