Planetary Phase Alignment and Coherent Field Dynamics: Electromagnetic Order Parameters, Ionospheric Structures, and Population-Scale Biological Correlates
Abstract
Earth’s electromagnetic environment is structured by multi-scale plasma processes that form field-aligned ducts, filaments, and cavities within the ionosphere–magnetosphere system. These structures guide wave energy, influence particle motion, and exhibit measurable phase relationships. This paper proposes a framework for quantifying coherent order in planetary fields using coupled-oscillator theory and electromagnetic order parameters. It further explores potential associations between planetary field order and aggregated biological measures at global scales, treated here as population-level proxies for organism–environment coupling. A testable hypothesis is defined: periods of enhanced electromagnetic phase alignment, as measured by combinations of geomagnetic indices, total electron content gradients, and plasma irregularity metrics, will exhibit statistically significant correlation with shifts in selected biological proxy time series, after controlling for confounding variables. Falsifiable criteria and a multi-sensor, multi-proxy verification pathway are presented. electromagnetic order, phase coherence, coupled oscillators, ionospheric plasma, magnetosphere, field-aligned currents, geomagnetic indices, TEC gradients, plasma irregularities, waveguide propagation, Earth plasma structures, bio-proxy time series, heart rate variability, sleep regularity, space-weather coupling, planetary field synchronization, coherence order parameter, phase alignment metrics, statistical phase correlation, multi-sensor verification, falsifiable hypothesis
