Readout of DESI BAO under a Projection-Resolution Framework
Abstract
This record contains Version 2, a companion paper to: A Single-Parameter Resolution Framework for Cosmological Tensions (v1) The original paper (v1) presents a phenomenological framework in which the Hubble tension and S8 tension arise from a single late-time mechanism, demonstrating minimal empirical viability without claiming proof. This Version 2 does not revise, replace, or correct v1.Instead, it addresses a methodological question that arose after v1: How should DESI BAO data be interpreted when parameter fitting, priors, and model selection are explicitly excluded? In this work, DESI DR2 BAO data are examined under a readout-only discipline, using scale-free ratio constructions that separate global scale effects from redshift-dependent shape effects. No likelihood analysis, parameter estimation, or model comparison is performed. The outcome is intentionally non-decisive:the data are found to be structurally consistent with the framework under correct readout, while remaining precision-limited with respect to definitive discrimination. No confirmation or falsification is claimed. This paper serves as a methodological companion, clarifying what current DESI data can and cannot say when interpreted without implicit parameter selection.
