Abstract

abstract We present a coherence-first theoretical synthesis intended to unify multiple ``fundamental'' phenomena—gravity, inertia, magnetism, time dilation, and thermodynamic irreversibility—under a single organizing principle: the dynamics of phase coherence in an information-bearing physical substrate. The Sympathetic Harmonic Resonance Framework (SHRF) posits that what are usually treated as distinct forces and axioms can be reinterpreted as scale-dependent manifestations of (i) a coherence amplitude field, (ii) a phase field, and (iii) their gradients, defects, and dissipation. We develop a minimal continuum formalism in which local phase alignment yields electromagnetic-like behavior, ultra-low-frequency coherence gradients yield gravity-like behavior, and resistance to re-phasing yields inertia. Time is treated not as a background parameter but as a rate of phase evolution tied to local coherence and noise. The objective of this paper is not to claim closure, but to supply a single spine—a compact set of definitions, equations, and falsifiable predictions—suitable for structured critique, refinement, and experimental targeting. We also state ``tight clarifying observations'' that sharply distinguish the coherence-first stance from force-first pictures. Keywords: resonance, coherence, phase dynamics, emergent gravity, magnetism, inertia, time dilation, entropy, dissipative field theory
