Charge Conjugation Physical Requirements for Particle–Antiparticle Distinction
Abstract
This paper examines charge conjugation strictly as a physical operation rather than a mathematical symmetry. Using only established physics, it asks what must physically change for a particle and its antiparticle to be meaningfully distinct. By reducing distinction to interaction behavior, coupling response, constraint structure, and enforced reference frames, the paper shows that charge conjugation has physical content only where it produces a measurable change in how a system interacts. Where no such change exists, charge conjugation is identified as a formal redundancy rather than a fundamental physical process.
