THE GRIFFITHS MOBILE REFINING STARSHIP METHODOLOGY (MRS)
Abstract
The Mobile Refining Starship (MRS) Methodology Defines a GNMT‑Drive–powered roaming refinery architecture that transforms SIMA‑packetized raw material into refined industrial products while underway. The MRS functions as a mobile industrial organism within the Griffiths Canon, operating across asteroid belts, volatile fields, industrial corridors, and deep‑space transit routes. This methodology establishes the MRS as the canon’s upper‑tier refining organ, completing the transformation chain that begins with SIMA extraction. The architecture details the refinery stack, GNMT‑Drive energy coupling, packet ingestion and export interfaces, autonomy logic, DIGSP oversight, and the industrial metabolic role the MRS plays across habitats, depots, and fleet assets. The MRS produces construction alloys, shielding mass, propellant, volatile derivatives, and industrial powders, integrating seamlessly with NGLS logistics nodes and canon‑wide demand signalling. Performance envelopes, throughput bands, thermal and radiative constraints, and fleet‑level scaling laws are defined to support predictable, long‑duration industrial operation. This whitepaper positions the Mobile Refining Starship as a foundational industrial organ of a self‑sustaining spacefaring civilization, enabling distributed refining, habitat expansion, starship provisioning, and the long‑term evolution of the Griffiths Canon’s industrial ecosystem.
