GalaxySimAnalytics/GalaxyPose: v1.0.0
Abstract
GalaxyPose v1.0.0 — First public release GalaxyPose is a Python toolkit for modeling galaxy trajectories (position/velocity) and orientations as continuous functions of time from discrete cosmological simulation snapshots. This release marks the first public version of the package. Highlights Trajectory interpolation for galaxy position/velocity with periodic box support (unwrap/wrap handling). Orientation interpolation Smooth interpolation from rotation matrices (quaternion-based), or Interpolation from angular momentum directions (disk-axis use cases). Birth-frame alignment utilities (galpos.decorate) to express stellar birth properties in the host-galaxy frame (via pynbody). Basic plotting helpers (optional) based on matplotlib. Notes Python: >= 3.8 Core dependencies: numpy, scipy Links Repository: https://github.com/GalaxySimAnalytics/GalaxyPose
