Abstract

Provides microscopic basis for Principle of Harmonic Locking (PHL) by deriving state-dependent stiffness k(I) = k₀(I/I₀)^p from discrete lattice relaxation dynamics. Reference field χ (zero-defect curvature) couples to physical field φ (with defects) via p=1 (gravity) or p=2 (quantum). UV completion achieved through Wilsonian renormalization group flow with explicit beta functions and fixed point analysis. Identifies χ physically: gravitational case as vacuum curvature, quantum case as coherence. Predicts lattice-scale Lorentz violations in gravitational waves (modified dispersion ω² = c²k² + m²c⁴), coherence-enhanced gravity Δv/v ~ 10⁻⁶⁸ (undetectable), and merger timescale deviations. Bridges discrete vacuum structure to continuum effective field theory. Keywords: harmonic locking, lattice dynamics, renormalization group, UV completion, effective field theory, state-dependent coupling, Wilson action, beta function, fixed points, discrete gravity
