Abstract

The mining industry is the cornerstone of Kyrgyzstan’s industrial capacity. With major deposits of gold, coal, antimony, and rare earth metals, the sector employs a significant portion of the industrial workforce. However, the geographic location of these deposits—often in remote, high-altitude alpine zones—creates a workplace environment that is inherently more dangerous than lowland mining operations.
