EFFECT OF N-(M-IODOBENZOYL)-N1-METHIONYL-THIOUREA ON EXUDATIVE AND PROLIFERATIVE INFLAMMATION PROCESSES
Abstract
The study on white rats demonstrated the high anti-inflammatory activity of N-(M-iodbenzoyl)-N-methionylthiourea. It suppressed both the exudative and proliferative phases of inflammation as well, which was caused by the Selye method. Due to these properties, it surpasses much of butadion and indomethacin. Keywords: Thiourea derivatives, inflammation, exudation, proliferation, butadion, indomethacin
Fields of Study & Subjects
Inflammatory mediators and NSAID effects
Synthesis and biological activity
Immunotoxicology and immune responses
