Impact of Training Programs in Development of Industrial Entrepreneurship in Visakhapatnam District
Abstract
Industrial entrepreneurship is the key stimulus to macroeconomic growth, labour market growth, and technological development in new economies. The Visakhapatnam district, which is characterized by a good geographical location and a well-developed industrial base, presents a unique analytical context with which to explore how professional training programs play a contributory role in developing entrepreneurial functions. The current question is raising questions regarding the effects of a range of instructional interventions on the development path and sustainability of industrial entrepreneurs working in Visakhapatnam and with a focus on four major axes: (i) technical skill development programmes, (ii) entrepreneurship development programmes (EDPs), (iii) financial literacy and managerial training, and (iv) digital and technology based instruction. Using a purposive sample consisting of 120 industrial entrepreneurs, who had settled in Visakhapatnam district, the study makes use of both regression analysis as well as Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) to test the hypothesised relationships. These econometric approaches enable one to conduct a subtle evaluation of causal assumptions and adjustment of possible confounding factors induced by the local business environment.
