Higgsless Gauge-Boson Mass Generation from Global Angular-Momentum Neutrality
Abstract
We have constructed a fully Higgsless mechanism for electroweak gauge–bosonmass generation within the unified geometric framework of Quaternion AngularMomentum Gravity (QAMG). In this approach, gauge–boson masses arise not froma scalar vacuum expectation value or spontaneous symmetry breaking, but fromthe interplay between an antisymmetric two–form geometric sector and a globalangular–momentum neutrality (GAN) constraint.Starting from the unified QAMG action, we showed that the two–form fieldadmits a gauge–invariant mass term and that the GAN constraint dynamicallyfixes an effective geometric mass scale. After integrating out the nonpropagatingcomponents of the two–form field, the electroweak gauge bosons acquire massesthrough a purely geometric mass matrix. The photon is shown to remain exactlymassless, while the Standard Model mass relation mW = mZ cosθW emerges as ageometric consistency condition, equivalent to the equality of the internal Killingmetric weights associated with the SU(2) and U(1)Y directions. We demonstrated that all trilinear and quartic gauge couplings remain strictlyidentical to their Standard Model values, since the non–Abelian Yang–Mills structure is unaffected by the GAN constraint and the two–form sector. At the level ofgauge–boson propagators, all leading oblique corrections vanish, yielding S = T =U =0without fine tuning. The electroweak mass scale is shown to be technicallynatural, as it originates from a global geometric constraint rather than a scalarpotential. Finally, we analyzed the finite–temperature behavior of the theory and foundthat electroweak symmetry restoration occurs through a thermal weakening of theGANconstraint, providing a geometric alternative to the Higgs thermal phase transition. Our results establish QAMG as a self–consistent geometric framework inwhich electroweak gauge–boson masses, precision constraints, and cosmological behavior are simultaneously explained without invoking a fundamental Higgs field.
