Abstract

Videos showing the monthly averaged Sea Surface Temperature (SST) anomaly in two regions of the planet, the Gulf Stream region and the ElNiño3.4, and the Spatial Permutation Entropy (SPE) computed from NS and WE symbols and the corresponding probability distribution of ordinal patterns, from 1981 to 2025. The SPE is obtained for parameter L=4 and different spatial lags. In this new version I have corrected the vertical axis of SST anomaly field, which was inverted in the previous release.
