The Law of Anti-Shape: Why Nature Never Allows a Complete Void
Abstract
Natural systems rarely tolerate true voids. Across physics, biology, and human systems, the removal of an essential element does not result in emptiness but instead reveals or activates an alternative functional state. This work proposes the Law of Anti-Shape, a conceptual framework suggesting that absence does not produce nothingness but activates an embedded counter-state that preserves continuity. Drawing on analogies from thermodynamics, DNA complementarity, systems theory, and psychological responses to loss, the paper extends this principle to mental health and grief-related adaptation. This preprint is shared to encourage open discussion and theoretical exploration.
