Abstract

We present a systematic structural analysis of the Hodge conjecture, identifying six fundamental "bugs" in the current paradigm, uncovering hidden isomorphisms between disparate mathematical structures, and proposing a novel coherence-based characterization of algebraic classes. Our main contribution is a reformulation that unifies the Hodge, Tate, absolute Hodge, and period conjectures into a single conceptual framework: a class is algebraic if and only if it exhibits coherence across all mathematical realizations. We also identify five concrete candidates for the "emergent third object" that historical precedent suggests is necessary for resolving such deep conjectures, and provide a methodological analysis of how breakthrough discoveries in mathematics have historically emerged. Disclaimer: This paper offers conceptual and heuristic analysis, not rigorous proofs. Many claims are speculative or represent research directions rather than established results.
