NATIONAL IDENTITY, MILITARY-PATRIOTIC VALUES IN MODERN AZERBAIJANI LITERATURE AND THEIR ROLE IN CADET TRAINING
Abstract
Modern Azerbaijani literature plays a pivotal role in shaping national identity, reinforcing military-patriotic values, and supporting the moral and psychological development of future military personnel. Beyond its artistic and aesthetic dimensions, literature serves as a cultural platform where national consciousness, ideological orientation, moral resilience, and devotion to the homeland are cultivated. This paper explores the representation of homeland, war, and victory in contemporary Azerbaijani literature, emphasizing its significance in cadet training. Works by authors such as Xəlil Rza Ulutürk, Bəxtiyar Vahabzadə, Aqil Abbas, and others are analyzed to demonstrate how literature fosters ideological stability, psychological endurance, leadership, and national responsibility among cadets. Integrating literature into military education not only enhances knowledge but also strengthens moral and patriotic consciousness, thereby contributing to the development of ideologically and emotionally prepared military personnel.
