THE INCLINED PLANE: FUNCTIONAL CLARIFICATION THROUGH MINIMAL MASS/MAXIMUM ACTION ANALYSIS
Abstract
This paper provides a definitive functional clarification of the inclined plane, challenging the traditional 2,500-year-old perspective that focuses solely on force decomposition. By applying the Minimal Mass/Maximum Action Axiom, the author demonstrates that the inclined surface geometry—the minimal mass interface—is the true functional primary element responsible for trajectory induction. While the support base represents the bulk of the system's mass, it serves a secondary role. This work establishes the inclined plane as a cornerstone of the LAW OF EXISTENCE, proving that mechanical efficiency is a result of geometric primacy rather than mere effort reduction.
