Abstract

Through the Python language, "the language of artificial intelligence," it has become possible to create a vast number of models containing millions of images spanning all eras and fields. By interacting with these large-scale models through code and API connections to their associated databases, we can leverage them via structured programming. This enables the reevaluation of a substantial corpus of diverse ornamentation across various historical periods, potentially attributing them to eras markedly different from their traditional historical assignments. Such discrepancies reveal the limitations of human evaluation, which often relies on a restricted set of factors that diverge significantly from the capabilities of computer vision techniques. This approach will be applied to a select window among those present in the Mosque of Ahmad Ibn Tulun in Cairo, allowing us to uncover specific features within the element that are attributed to an era entirely different from the consensus of historians.
