Abstract

[Abstract] This paper provides a novel resolution to the "Schrödinger's Cat" paradox by reframing quantum measurement not as an ontological rupture of reality, but as an epistemic sampling constraint determined by the observer's temporal resolution—defined here as "temporal thickness" or "shutter speed" (Δt). Finally, the paper demonstrates how this model provides a scientific foundation for the process philosophies of Henri Bergson and Alfred North Whitehead, framing the universe as a continuous rhythmic stream of "becoming" rather than a collection of discrete "beings." [The Crystallization Model] By modeling the observer as a "camera" with a controllable integration time, the paper dissolves the paradox through the following isomorphism: Superposition (Wave): Interpreted as "Temporal Motion Blur" resulting from thick integration times (Δt≫0), where the trajectory of a process appears as overlapping states. State Determination (Particle): Interpreted as "High-Speed Sampling" (Δt→0), where a discrete snapshot (a "crystallized" record) is extracted from the continuous wave-process. [Philosophical Reconstruction] The framework provides a rigorous scientific bridge to the process philosophies of Henri Bergson and Alfred North Whitehead. It argues that the universe is an unbroken stream of "becoming" (Bergson's Durée), and that the appearance of discrete "beings" is a result of the "cinematographic illusion" induced by the sampling act of measurement. Re-interpretation of Whitehead's "Actual Occasions" through sampling theory. Includes three detailed conceptual diagrams (Figure 1-3) visualizing the crystallization process.
