Paper 44 - What Admissibility Derives: Structural Recoveries Across Modern Physics
Abstract
Renumbered. This is an early synthesis that originally carried the number Paper 44. The current APF Paper 44 is What a Finite Theory Owes the Continuum (DOI 10.5281/zenodo.21195874). This record is retained as an early overview of the program. This work presents a constraint-first analysis of several structural results that recur across modern theoretical physics, including entropy area laws, Page-like saturation in information recovery, monogamy of correlations, irreversible record formation, the geometric character of gravity, and the low-entropy character of cosmological origin. These results are commonly derived within disparate and incompatible frameworks—quantum information theory, statistical mechanics, black hole thermodynamics, and general relativity—and are typically attributed to theory-specific dynamics or microscopic assumptions. Here, these phenomena are shown to follow from a single pre-dynamical requirement: finite admissible correlation capacity. Correlations are treated as primitive relational constraints enforced across interfaces, and admissibility is defined as joint enforceability under finite coordination resources. From this minimal mathematical structure—formalized through inequalities rather than dynamical equations—the paper derives a series of structural consequences shared by existing physical theories. Entropy is identified as an interface capacity with unavoidable area-law scaling. Saturation of correlation capacity leads to delayed information recovery analogous to Page transitions, without invoking Hilbert-space typicality. Monogamy of correlations follows from the non-closure of admissible correlation sets under composition. Irreversibility is shown to arise from capacity locking by persistent records rather than probabilistic arguments. Geometry and gravity emerge as effective representations of correlation cost when capacity can be smoothly redistributed, while cosmological origin is reinterpreted as an admissibility boundary where entropy, probability, and time are undefined. The framework introduces no new dynamics, microscopic ontology, or probabilistic postulates, and does not attempt to derive numerical constants. Instead, it clarifies why otherwise successful theories share common structural outcomes and why their extrapolation beyond certain regimes leads to foundational paradoxes. An appendix provides a worked consistency example showing how standard gravitational entropy bounds arise as capacity limits under semiclassical assumptions. This paper is intended as a foundations-level contribution, identifying a common constraint beneath diverse physical descriptions rather than proposing a replacement for existing theories. About the series. Admissibility Physics derives the Standard Model gauge group, fermion content, quantum formalism, Lorentzian spacetime, the Einstein field equations, the cosmological constant, and the neutrino, strong-CP, and dark sectors from a single assumption — that enforcement is finite at every causally connected region — with zero free parameters. The core derivation runs Papers 0–11; the extension papers carry the individual sectors. Each paper's main text and Technical Supplement is deposited separately, and every quantitative claim traces to a named, executable check in the public theorem bank (over 3,800 bank-registered theorems across roughly 450 modules, 48 quantitative predictions).
