Optimized airbase locations for suppression
Abstract
This work presents a data-driven system for optimizing aerial firefighting across Iran. Using 20 years of NASA satellite data and clustering algorithms, it identifies the most effective locations for airbases. The results show that a five-base network provides optimal coverage, enabling rapid response within 70 minutes while balancing operational cost and infrastructure.
