Abstract

Abstract This paper presents an applied case study demonstrating the implementation of the Legal AI Operating Model v1.0 in the onboarding of a new in-house legal team member (anonymized as New Legal). The case addresses a common structural challenge in modern legal organizations: onboarding failure caused not by lack of capability, but by high judgment opacity, distributed stakeholders, and premature exposure to complex legal decision-making. By applying a judgment-centric, AI-augmented apprenticeship workflow, the onboarding process achieved psychological safety, accelerated judgment acquisition, and reduced senior expert cognitive load—without increasing managerial overhead. This case validates the practical feasibility of the Legal AI Operating Model and illustrates how legal judgment can be externalized, taught, and scaled through structured AI-human collaboration.
