The Mechanical Nature of Charge and Magnetism: Torsional Shear and Vertex Displacement in the 1D/2D Manifold
Abstract
Electromagnetic phenomena are conventionally described through vector fields and gauge symmetries. This paper provides a deterministic mechanical derivation of charge and magnetism using the Universal Space Theory (UST) framework. We propose that the elementary charge ($e$) is the quantized volumetric displacement of a single 1D string vertex within the Stochastic String Network (SSN). Furthermore, we define the magnetic field as a macroscopic torsional shear (twist) in the 2D manifold sheets induced by the motion of these vertex displacements. We derive the Coulomb force as a direct tension-interaction between vertices and demonstrate that the Lorentz force is the mechanical drag resulting from manifold shear gradients.
