Abstract

Zenodo Description This paper introduces the SAN Matter Merging Principle (SMM) and a five-state architecture of matter as a universal state-machine governing creation, destruction, and unification of matter. Conventional physics recognizes only four states of matter—solid, liquid, gas, and plasma—but this flat classification fails to explain why matter does not merge arbitrarily and why all physical transformations follow fixed pathways. This work introduces vapour as a fifth physical state, positioned between gas and liquid, and establishes sub-states (plasma and vapour) as mandatory mediators of all phase transitions. The theory is based on the Energy–Space Law E+S=1E + S = 1E+S=1 where EEE is energy density and SSS is space density. Different balances of energy and space produce different states of matter. The five-state architecture is: Solid↔Plasma↔Liquid↔Vapour↔Gas\text{Solid} \leftrightarrow \text{Plasma} \leftrightarrow \text{Liquid} \leftrightarrow \text{Vapour} \leftrightarrow \text{Gas}Solid↔Plasma↔Liquid↔Vapour↔Gas A State-Transition Law is established:A main state can never convert directly into another main state; it must pass through its corresponding sub-state.This makes liquid the unique bridge state between solid-side and gas-side matter. The SAN Matter Merging Principle states that two matter systems can truly merge only when they are in the same state: M1↔M2 ⟺ S1=S2M_1 \leftrightarrow M_2 \iff S_1 = S_2M1↔M2⟺S1=S2 Different states are incompatible, and energy imbalance ΔE\Delta EΔE must first equalize states before merging is possible. A universal creation–destruction queue is derived: Creation (energy decreases, structure increases):Gas → Vapour → Liquid → Plasma → Solid Destruction (energy increases, structure decreases):Solid → Plasma → Liquid → Vapour → Gas A simple bowl experiment using ice and water demonstrates the principle: ice (solid) does not merge with water (liquid) until energy is applied to convert it into the same state (liquid), after which true merging occurs. Further heating drives vapour and gas formation, while cooling reverses the queue. This framework unifies phase transitions, fusion, condensation, chemical bonding, and black-hole matter collapse under a single state-compatibility law driven by ΔE\Delta EΔE. The SAN Matter Merging Principle provides a fundamental, energy-based explanation of matter behavior that goes beyond conventional thermodynamic phase diagrams and offers a universal law for matter creation, destruction, and unification.
