The principle of energy-dependent discreteness of time: towards a single picture from quantum gravity to dark matter.
Abstract
Abstract. What if time is not the background against which everything happens, but an active physical property generated by energy? It follows from the quantum principle τ ≈ ħ/E that every system has its own minimal "tick" of time. The fastest "tick" (t_P) occurs at the maximum energy (E_P), and the slowest is at the vacuum. Radically different: what we call "dark matter" does not exist as a separate substance. This is the dynamic effect of the "pushing" side of the chronal interaction of ordinary baryonic matter in special states. Vacuum is the state of the Universe with the maximum resolved (extended) quantum of its own time τ_vac. If the vacuum has a non-zero energy of the ground state E_vac (cosmological constant), then it also has its own quantum of time: τ_Λ = ħ / E_vac. The famous Planck "space-time foam" on the scales of l_P and t_P receives a clear interpretation.
