Abstract

Data supporting the findings of the article "Non-Gaussian statistics of concentration fluctuations in free liquid diffusion", Physical Review Research, 2026. Authors: Marco Bussoletti, Mirko Gallo, Amir Jafari, Gregory L. Eyink. Data are organized as follows. 1.Data for Figure 1. Triple cumulant of concentraiton fluctuations for r*=50. The short and long time behaviors are collected in two separate files, with the first column representing the time instants and the following columns representing, alternatively, the value of the statistical observable and the associated Monte Carlo error for different values of tau*. Specifically, tau1=10^4, tau2=10^6, tau3=10^8, and tau4=10^10. file names -> C3_short_times; C3_long_times 2.Data for Figure 2. Three point skewness of concentraiton fluctuations for r*=50. The files are organized as in point (1.), but the values of tau* are tau2=10^6, tau3=10^8, and tau4=10^10. file names -> S3_short_times; S3_long_times 2.Data for Figure 4. Combined second cumulants of concentraiton fluctuations for r*=50. The files are organized as in point (1.). file names -> C2_short_times; C2_long_times All the data presented here have been generated averaging over a large number of Monte Carlo realizations. Specifically: short times data tau1: 7.555 x10^13 samples tau2: 7.558 x10^13 samples tau3: 5.792 x10^13 samples tau4: 7.533 x10^13 samples long times data tau1: 2.707 x10^13 samples tau2: 2.943 x10^13 samples tau3: 2.796 x10^13 samples tau4: 2.927 x10^13 samples
