On the Structural Role of Archimedean Obstructions in Indexed Arithmetic Frameworks
Abstract
This note isolates and clarifies the conceptual role played by Archimedean constraints in a broad class of indexed arithmetic frameworks. Across several independent settings—indexed sieves, anchored congruence systems, affine normalization dynamics, and diagonal obstruction problems—we observe a common structural pattern: local congruential or $p$--adic coherence is never sufficient to exclude infinite or total behavior. The decisive obstruction always appears only at the Archimedean level, when realizability by ordinary integers or coverage of finite intervals is required. This note explains why this phenomenon is structural and unavoidable, and why Archimedean arguments necessarily occur as the final closure step of the theory.
